Spring Roadway Weight Restrictions In Effect March 8th, 2021

The Richland County Highway Department would like to announce that the spring roadway weight restrictions will be in effect as of Monday, March 8th, 2021.  All county roadways will be posted with a 25 ton weight limit.  All overweight vehicles are subject to these restrictions unless exempted by State Statute.

Restrictions will remain in effect until April 1st, 2021.

WIS 58 Project (Lee Lake Bridge to WIS 33)

Project overview

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is developing preliminary plans for a resurfacing project on WIS 58. The 6.73-mile long project begins in the Village of Cazenovia and heads northeast to the Village of La Valle.

Proposed improvements:

  • Mill and overlay existing pavement
  • Update curb ramps as needed to meet American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements
  • Replace guardrail and install energy absorbing terminals (EATs)
  • Widen paved shoulders from 1-foot to 3-foot
